Structure fire at Iron Knob - 6 June 2025
Three CFS trucks and a support vehicle carrying approximately 16 firefighters responded to multiple Triple Zero calls to attend a structure fire at 2:30am at Iron Knob in the state’s Iron Triangle.
Upon arrival firefighters found the structure fully involved in fire and with flames threatening multiple gas bottles located within the property.
Volunteers used defensive firefighting techniques to remove the gas bottles and to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties.
Despite the efforts of the firefighters they were unable to prevent the roof structure from collapsing.
Damage to the property is valued at $200,000.
SA Metropolitan Fire Service, SA Ambulance Service, SA Police and relevant power companies provided support on scene.
CFS remain at the property for mopping up purposes.
Fire Investigators have been contacted.
